The showdown happens tonight...maybe

Its finally Friday and the Flint Generals are in town. By now everyone knows the story even if your not an Icehawks fan. General's goalie Chad Alban doesn't like Larry Sterling, not one bit and finally blew a gasket almost 2 weeks here in Port Huron.

Alban had these words to say about Sterling to Flint beat writer Brendan Savage. "He talks a good game," said Alban "I'll get him. He knows it's coming." He also went on to say Sterling is not tough. So now Alban has put himself in a position where he has to do something and it has to happen tonight. The ball is in Alban's court. Sterling really hasn't spoken out to say anything about a fight, its Alban who has the issues with Sterling's constant chirping. Usually when a war of words comes about in the paper nothing happens besides some talking on the ice but Alban said he was going to get Sterling so that is pretty much a promise to everyone including Sterling, Alban will "get him" tonight.

Alban's mouth may of got him in trouble here. Pretty gutsy to come out and say your going to get someone, especially when as he claims, he doesn't even know Sterling, maybe he just went on tape of Reichmuth beating Sterling last year. But now not only does Alban have to find a way to start up a fight with Sterling, he has to beat the tar out of him because of his confident words.

So get your tickets ladies and gentleman because this could be one fun night at the old barn. That is, of course if Alban doesn't have "prior commitments"
