Derek Patrosso, last weeks rookie of the week, would follow that with his 5th goal of the season with assists from Vernarsky and Robert Cowan. Ian Turner (5) (Jamie Carroll, Daniel Tetrault) would finish up scoring for the Icehawks with exactly 1 minute left in the first period he put the Icehawks up 3-0 on a power play goal.

Bloomington would try to chip back into the 3 goal deficit quickly in the 2nd period when Brett Holmberg got a break away and got it past Sterling to bring the Thunder within 1 goal. However after that the Icehawks were able to coast to the 3-1 final despite having to kill off 4 penalties the rest of the game.
