IHL Amends IR Rules

The International Hockey League announced today that they have amended the Injured Reserve rules this year. This is the amendments to the rules.

* The addition of one 45-Day and one 60-Day IR spot
* Players on both the 45-Day and 60-Day IR are exempt from the active roster.
* The duration of the 45-Day and 60-Day IR is a minimum of 45 and/or 60 days.

-Players may be moved from one IR spot to another (including from the 30-Day to the 45-Day or 60-Day) so long as the movement is upward. The original date of the injured reserve shall remain in place in such an instance.
